where it all started
In the early stages of toza there wasn't any form of direction, and looking back that was the best thing I could've done. It made me explore all aspects of creating a piece of clothing. I frequently did many jean alterations and experimented a lot with different fitments. During all this I had created an amazing community of people that took a big interest in my work. I continued to grow and enjoyed the interactions I had with the people that followed my journey. This fueled me to keep going and for once in my life I felt a sense of purpose... Fast forward a little bit, I learned pattern making and the art of making a garment from scratch. This was a whole new world to me, but I knew it was the next step I had to take. I started by making my own pattern from scratch and slowly pieced together my first pair of pants. It was good, but I knew I could do better. A few jeans, shirts, and jackets later I finally felt comfortable in making a quality garment. I never thought I would get to this point but there I was creating my own ideas with a bit of fabric and thread. Now with my new earned freedom of design it's time to take another step forward...
